EXT. STREETCORNER - EVENING

Tony and Jessie stand on the street and are having an argument.

TONY
Jessie, listen again, for the last time!

JESSIE
There is nothing more to say.

TONY
I'm tired, you're exhausting

Tony starts to move away

JESSIE
Wait a second!

TONY
What for?

Jessie slaps him in the face!

EXT. PARK -EVENING

Jessie is sad and sits on a bench, while Tony tries to cheer her up.
She gets up and starts to walk on top of the bench.

JESSIE
You, know, I don't even know why I love
you, because,... some times it is just
plain stupid to love you.

TONY
Well, if you don't know, how am I
supposed to know?

Tony watches Jessie, clowning around.

TONY (CONT'D)
...You're not that easy to get along
with either!

JESSIE
Well, I got to know if you're going to be
there?

TONY GET'S THE MESSAGE.

TONY
You know it's not easy for me...

JESSIE
Well, soon I won't be bothering you
anymore!

TONY
Don't say that Jessie!

JESSIE
On the other hand, I could bother you in
your dreams, or spook the hell out of,
haunt you're house, and freeze your next
girlfriend into a salt-statue.

TONY
You haunt me now, already...

JESSIE
What do you mean?
(angry)
I'm already dead for you?

TONY
No! It's not you! ...my love i...
(reacting)

JESSIE
Tony!
(she grabs him)

What are you saying? What you mean? Talk
to me!

TONY
No, no!... Common everything is just so
difficult.

JESSIE
Yes, but you still
make me so happy, Tony.

TONY
You to, Jessie, don't cry.

JESSIE
I'm dying Tony, and you are the one I
choose to spend my last months with.

TONY
Why does everything have to be so unfair?

JESSIE
Don't say that!

TONY
The cold is going to kill you now, if we
don't move.

JESSIE
I love you Tony.

TONY
... I know...

TONY
Common, let's go have a coffee.

INT. ODESSA BATHROOM -EVENING

Jessie refreshes herself. She swallows some pills and looks at herself in the mirror.

INT. ODESSA RESTAURANT - EVENING

Tony sits in a booth with a beer and eats her soup. Jessie exits the ladies-room and let's herself slide down in the seat next to him.

TONY
(concerned)
Here, eat the soup, it's getting cold

JESSIE
You already ate my soup.

TONY
Let me order a new one.

JESSIE
No. I's OK.

TONY
What's the matter with you?

JESSIE
I feel like a little fish in the big
city.

TONY
We are more like roaches in a big City.

Tony smashes a roach on the table.

JESSIE
I wish a big whale would swallow me and
spit me out on a beautiful sanded beach.

TONY
Everybody wants to be spit out somewhere
nice.

JESSIE
Don't you think we deserve that?

TONY
Everything has a price.

JESSIE
I guess I'm paying mine.

Jessie pulls out the camera, and films Tony.

JESSIE (CONT'D)
I'll have someone who is willing to give
me 1000 dollar for this.

TONY
You just bought it. You love that camera.

JESSIE
...we pack our bags and get out of the
City.

TONY
Jessie.

JESSIE
Tony, I really would like to spend some
good time with you, travelling, just
enjoying our life.

TONY
I can't leave now, Jessie.

JESSIE
Do you really care for me? Do you? Tell me,
how much do you care for me?

TONY
You know I love you

JESSIE
But tell me, wouldn't it be beautiful to
go somewhere just the two of us?

TONY
Of course Jessie, I know, I'll try it.

Tony pulls out the money for the bill, and puts it on the
table.

He stands up. They walk out. Jessie keeps talking.

JESSIE
If every night I could pick up
My dreams where I left off,
There's no place I'd need to go...

(CONT'D)
....
